About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled System Engineer III to join our growing team! Specifically, we are seeking a DevOps Engineer with extensive AWS experience, proven expertise in developing and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and a familiarity with Terraform, Ansible and Python, as well as other related technologies.

Requirements

  • Twenty (20) years-experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS
  • Familiarity with FOSS tools such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus/Grafana, and PGAdmin, deployable in Kubernetes via Helm chart
  • Familiarity with various Kubernetes storage class types (e.g., GP3, Longhorn, EBS)

Responsibilities

  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools using Terraform, Ansible, and Python
  • Install, configure, and performance-tune Kubernetes and cloud-native logging and metrics collection tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Grafana/Prometheus)
  • Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab Runners and Argo CD
  • Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, Lambda, EKS, RDS, S3, EFS, and EBS, using Terraform and auto scaling
  • Manage commercial cloud computing platforms, primarily AWS
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
