About The Position

Join Collins Aerospace as a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will be a part of a dynamic team that delivers exceptional services and goods globally. In this on-site position, you'll engage with cutting-edge tools and processes, gaining valuable experience in software engineering. What You Will Do: A Software Engineer will be paired with more experienced engineers in performing requirements engineering, use case development, logical architecture modeling, and interface definition. This position may include software development, programming languages including Java, C++, Python, data base management, networking, or data communications. This position is full time to support the Software Engineering, Integration, and Testing (SEIT) Resource Management Area. The selected candidate will be given tasks appropriate for their level and will work with mentors to develop their skills as needed. Coordinate with global task orders supporting the Space Software Engineering Team. What You Will Learn: Hands-on experience in Software Engineering. Skills in Java, C++, Python, data base management processes and test and integration engineering processes. How to create and manage software engineering reports, analyze data, and drive compliance. Exposure to Software Engineering and DOD Systems. Techniques to identify and address root causes of software performance issues. Decision support and tactical instruction in a professional setting.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required .
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance ​
