About The Position

Make the world’s most advanced SWC Fire Control Common Infrastructure Product Team (CIPT) even smarter! As a System Engineer - COTs/NDI (Sr Systems Eng) for SWC Fire Control, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development of Strategic Weapons Systems Capabilities under the nuclear triad. We strive to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that meet the rigorous demands of modern warfare and ensure the safety and success of our missions. Working in this capacity you will: Lead the integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Non-Developmental Items (NDI) in our fire control systems with a continuous development mindset. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate and iterate on COTS/NDI solutions. Oversee testing and validation to ensure systems meet evolving program requirements. Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Enhance engineering processes and standards with a focus on agility, innovation, and robust software processes. Requirements

  • Strong background in systems engineering with a focus on integrating COTS/NDI products.
  • In-depth understanding of software development processes to ensure successful integration and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time but preferred at at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
