About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) and NYC Health + Hospitals’ Division of Enterprise Clinical Operations are seeking an accomplished and operationally focused System Director to support systemwide clinical initiatives and drive measurable improvements in healthcare operations and program implementation. PAGNY, a multispecialty medical practice group, staffs several municipal hospitals and clinics within New York City through an affiliation agreement with NYC Health + Hospitals . PAGNY’s Corporate staff provides administrative, practice management, and human resources services in support of nearly 4,000 clinical providers. Experience managing within a large, complex health system with diverse partners and external stakeholders is preferred. The ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously is a valuable asset. Opportunity Details: Support NYC Health + Hospitals systemwide. Develop and operationalize clinical programs aligned with system priorities. Partner with hospital leadership, nursing, operations, finance, and IT to execute cross-functional initiatives. Create and monitor business plans, budgets, ROI models, and performance dashboards. Maintain a part-time clinical practice (40–50%) to support clinical engagement. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Create initiatives that address medical education, patient safety, and quality improvement. Support Fellowship in providing feedback and mentorship. Offer clinical guidance to build and offer feedback to programs. Requirements

  • MD or DO with current Board Certification.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New York State.
  • MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent business/leadership degree required.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success in hospital operations, clinical program implementation, and strategic execution.
  • Strong financial and business skills; ability to manage budgets and service-line performance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal dynamics, and change-leadership abilities.
