The Technical Team Leader is responsible for managing a cross functional team focused on the definition and development of next generation propulsion systems. They will be accountable for the technical development and refinement of the propulsion system of reference Leads risk management and issue resolution with internal counterparts, expertise network and supplier team Leads cross functional team members to support the V-development process through simulation activities Interfaces with engine, controls, transmission hardware, vehicle platform, powertrain synthesis and other cross functional teams Leads the lessons learned of issues until the appropriate update of standards, tools definition and methodologies occurs Communicates regularly through oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, COEs, Component Engineers and others including Propulsion Systems management

  • Leads the lessons learned of issues until the appropriate update of standards, tools definition and methodologies occurs
  • Communicates regularly through oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, COEs, Component Engineers and others including Propulsion Systems management
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product development (preferably in the automotive area) simulating ICE (internal combustion engine) hybrid and/or electrified propulsion systems
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Thorough knowledge of vehicle Propulsion Systems including transmissions, axles, drivelines, batteries, and electric motors
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial simulation/coding SW including, but not limited to: MATLAB /Simulink, GT Suite or AMESim
  • Thorough knowledge of vehicle system design process
  • Thorough knowledge in the disciplines of hybrid control strategies or energy management optimization
  • Thorough knowledge in the disciplines of fluid dynamics and heat transfer
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial codes including, but not limited to, MATLAB /Simulink, Stateflow, and Simulink coder
  • General knowledge of commercial CAD packages including NX and Teamcenter
