About The Position

Zachary Piper is seeking a System Architect - TS/SCI CI Poly in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. The System Architect - TS/SCI CI Poly will support a government-focused technology organization in classified environments. The ideal candidate for the System Architect - TS/SCI CI Poly role will have extensive experience designing, implementing, and securing scalable systems in compliance with federal standards. The System Architect - TS/SCI CI Poly must hold an active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) and be a U.S. citizen as defined by 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM. The System Architect - TS/SCI CI Poly position is onsite in a SCIF in RTP, NC - 5 days a week onsite.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
• Proven experience as a System Architect in classified environments
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Expertise in Terraform, Terragrunt, or similar IaC tools
• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, GSEC, CAP, SSCP)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement secure, scalable systems for U.S. Government classified environments
• Lead container orchestration efforts using Kubernetes
• Automate operating systems and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Terragrunt
• Administer and secure cloud environments, particularly AWS
• Ensure compliance with NISPOM and ICD guidelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support secure deployments and system patching
