At TI, System Engineers work to identify ideal roadmap opportunities for a business and are responsible for defining new products and platforms based on market opportunity. To do this, they leverage strong technical knowledge of our existing portfolio, deep understanding of the technologies, standards and protocols within an industry or end equipment, and an ability to engage with customers and translate their requirements into technical specifications that will solve their problems. Systems engineers also partner closely with marketing and applications engineers, as well as design teams, to ensure our roadmap is both meeting customer and market requirements and is technically optimized and manufacturable at a price and cost point that makes sense for the business. The CTS (Clock and Timing Solutions) product line focuses on developing state-of-the-art, high-performance clocking and RF products. Our investment portfolio includes DPLL Network Synchronizers, Clock Buffers, Clock Generators, Oscillators, RF synthesizers, PLLs, and buffers. Our vision is to create the most comprehensive and innovative portfolio to solve all clocking needs in markets such as Wireless, Wired Communication, Enterprise, and Industrial applications. We are seeking a qualified candidate for a Systems/Applications Engineering role focused on our RF product families. This position features an equal split between systems and applications work and is based in Santa Clara, CA. The successful candidate will report to the CTS Systems Manager. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in applications and markets requiring high-performance clocking. System-level knowledge of wireless infrastructure, aerospace and defense, and test and measurement systems is highly desirable. This hands-on role involves testing and validating products in laboratory environments.
