System and Network Engineer

About The Position

Leidos is seeking a System/Network Engineer to support the AIMES mission in our Beavercreek, Ohio office. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in network engineering, virtualization, and systems administration within a mission-focused environment. The AIMES Operations Team is looking for a highly motivated, versatile engineer to maintain and enhance our network infrastructure, virtual environment, and physical servers. This role is ideal for a “jack-of-all-trades” engineer who enjoys autonomy, technical ownership, and the opportunity to manage project infrastructure end-to-end.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of applicable experience. Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
• Strong hands-on experience with networking, virtualization, and system administration

Nice To Haves

• Windows system administration (Active Directory, Group Policy Objects)
• Linux/Red Hat system administration
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Physical server hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience with Veeam backup solutions
• Server room operations and infrastructure maintenance
• Experience writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks
• Understanding of development build workflows (Jenkins, build pipelines, Conan, Artifactory)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support Cisco Nexus switches and routers
• Administer VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter environments
• Perform Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration
• Manage and maintain physical server infrastructure
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security compliance
