As a System and Network Administrator at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our network infrastructure is robust, secure, and capable of meeting the evolving needs of the Department of Defense (DoD). Your expertise in network design and architecture will be essential as you work to develop and maintain the systems that support national security missions. You will be responsible for upgrading and developing enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshooting complex network issues, and enhancing the security, reliability, and availability of mission-critical network systems. In this position, you will leverage your knowledge of the OSI model, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, and virtual routing and forwarding to optimize client operations and modernization efforts. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to clients, utilizing your experience with cryptographic equipment, firewalls, and cloud migration to implement effective solutions. Your technical curiosity and understanding of industry standards will enable you to make a significant impact on national security initiatives. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining software development infrastructure across multiple environments and networks, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently in a fast-paced and highly technical environment.
