About the position

The System Analyst position at Intellibee in Columbia, SC, involves assisting with the procurement, development, and implementation of a new electronic infectious disease surveillance system. This role is critical for modernizing disease reporting and management, ensuring compliance with CDC standards, and enhancing the current system until the new one is fully operational. The analyst will assess business needs, determine project scope, oversee system testing, and provide user support in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support system activities in SCION and the procurement/implementation of the new EDSS.
  • Learn system capabilities and provide support, analysis, testing, and problem resolution.
  • Work with IT staff to understand system technical functionality and IT security standards.
  • Assist Program Area System Owners in understanding their business functions and needs.
  • Provide system user support and assist in resolving system-related problems.
  • Manage system user account permissions and security.
  • Conduct system user training for onboarding new staff and provide individual training as needed.
  • Attend and support SCION-related events as required.
  • Create and maintain supporting system and training documentation.
  • Maintain SharePoint content associated with system collaboration sites.
  • Document and create technical reports by analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Monitor and identify system data quality issues and work to improve data accuracy.
  • Review and monitor usage reports and assist with the system software life cycle process.
  • Coordinate and assist with system testing and production validation.
  • Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures to comply with agency standard cyber security policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6 years of experience in customer service and system design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of information security standards (NIST, FISMA).
  • Experience with system analysis, monitoring, and reporting on system performance and data quality.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with technical staff and customers.
  • Experience with industry-standard information security practices.
