The Staff System Analyst at Qualcomm is responsible for analyzing complex business problems and providing technical expertise in developing automated systems and procedures that meet user requirements. This role involves configuring system settings, executing testing phases, and creating specifications to ensure systems align with business needs. The analyst will also lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various departments.

  • Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements.
  • Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Create specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
  • Design details of automated systems and provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
  • Lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
  • Support export and business cross-functional systems as a Business System Analyst.
  • Responsible for functional system administration, maintenance coordination, and user functional support.
  • Write, create, and extract report requirements/specifications, training material, presentations, and desktop procedures to meet export compliance requirements.
  • Gather internal and external systems requirements for new system implementations and upgrades.
  • Facilitate discussions with team stakeholders focused on execution and planning of systems projects.
  • Form effective relationships with Qualcomm personnel to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
  • Experience in international trade, export compliance, or related fields.
  • Working knowledge of US export regulations, including BIS, ITAR, and OFAC.
  • Knowledge of foreign export regulations.
  • Ability to work across different time zones.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
  • Creativity and ability to multitask.
  • Experience with E2OPEN Trade Automation or similar systems.
