About The Position

EKI Environment & Water, Inc. (EKI) is an employee-owned, full service, engineering and environmental sciences consulting firm serving private and public-sector clients throughout the United States. If you are interested in improving the environment and advancing your career, then EKI is the place for you. We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic System Administrator. Under the direction of EKI IT Management, this position provides monitoring, configuration, maintenance, and security of EKI computer systems and servers.

Requirements

• 2+ yrs. as a System Administrator with Windows Server / Active Directory.
• 2+ yrs. experience with hypervisor configuration (VMware / HyperV).
• 1+ yrs. experience with cloud infrastructure services (AWS preferred).
• Network administration knowledge.
• Server licensing and management (Server 2012-2022).
• Corporate antivirus and malware solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies as needed.
• Manage and prioritize simultaneous tasks & deadlines.
• Produce quality work under pressure, while maintaining a professional attitude with co-workers / clients.
• Patience and ability to educate users on how to avoid or resolve problems.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft certification.
• SAN experience.
• Cisco CCNA.

Responsibilities

• Manage Active Directory domain and Group Policies.
• Configure, maintain, deploy and monitor Windows servers / workstations and VMs.
• Monitor and maintain on-prem and cloud backup systems.
• Apply security best practices, access controls, patch management, and training.
• Assist with support, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of corporate networks.
• Document configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Prepare clear, concise technical documentation for EKI userbase.
• Provide timely and knowledgeable responses to requests.
• Perform helpdesk management and support as needed.
• Provide assistance to all EKI offices and staff as needed.
