About The Position

We are seeking a System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The System Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure operation of an organization's information technology infrastructure. They are responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's servers, networks, and related systems to support the overall business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration or a related role.
  • Proficiency in operating systems and virtualization technologies.
  • Good knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint and Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), or equivalent are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and related software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Security Management: Implement and enforce security protocols, including firewalls, access controls, and data encryption, to protect the organization's data and systems.
  • Server Administration: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server resources to support business operations.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical information and ensure minimal downtime in the event of system failures.
  • User Account Management: Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls while ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Network Management: Assist with network configuration and maintenance, including switches, routers, and VPN connections.
  • Patch Management: Keep software and systems up to date with the latest patches and updates to address vulnerabilities and enhance performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies, hardware, and software solutions to make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address IT-related challenges, provide technical support, and contribute to IT projects and initiatives.
