As part of our IT & Infrastructure team — the Enablers and Protectors — you ensure the systems that power our agency are secure, reliable, and ready for anything. Your work keeps our teams connected, our data protected, and our technology running smoothly so every other piece of the puzzle can do its best work. The Systems Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining the backbone of our technology environment. This role combines infrastructure management, security stewardship, and thoughtful support to ensure our platforms are stable, scalable, and optimized for collaboration. You’ll help strengthen how our agency works by bringing curiosity, precision, and accountability to every system you manage. As a Systems Administrator, you help keep the engine of the agency running. You maintain and improve the infrastructure that enables teams across Attention Arc to collaborate, innovate, and deliver impactful work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure support roles.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience with identity and access management tools such as Okta.
  • Experience with endpoint and device management platforms such as JamF or NinjaOne.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical tasks.
  • Clear technical documentation and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience with remote access platforms such as Citrix.
  • Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell or similar).
  • Experience integrating tools or automating workflows using platforms such as Workato or Monday.com.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and infrastructure hardening.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and identity access management.
  • Maintain virtualization environments such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Support cloud infrastructure and integrations across platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability across infrastructure.
  • Maintain and support network components including switches, routers, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Perform routine maintenance including updates, patches, backups, and performance tuning.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols including endpoint protection, access policies, and system monitoring.
  • Support cybersecurity best practices and proactively address vulnerabilities.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and system resilience.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues with clarity and urgency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams to ensure systems are used effectively.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support technical initiatives and new tools across the agency.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, automation, and reliability.
  • Plan, document, and communicate recommended technology improvements.
