About The Position

As a System Administrator in our North American Service Delivery group, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting the systems that underpin our suite of driver identification and information system solutions for our US customers (VA, NC, SC, NY, and WI DMVs).

Requirements

  • Fluency in English (speak, read, write)
  • Legally eligible to work in USA
  • Able to work outside of standard business hours as requried
  • Able to travel approx. 2-4 weeks/year on average
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) or equivalent combination of relevant education and years of work experience
  • 5+ years of system administration experience

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL processes
  • IT auditing process (asset)

Responsibilities

  • System Installation, Configuration and Virtualization:
  • Install, configure and virtualize server hardware.
  • Install/configure operating systems, software, network settings.
  • Write deployment scripts and manifests to deploy hardware and platforms consistently.
  • Develop and implement new solutions based on new customer requirements.
  • System Maintenance:
  • Pro-actively monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of IT services.
  • Tune-up OS and deploy software updates and patches and modify deployment scripts and manifests to ensure configuration complies with security requirements.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to system outages and perform necessary repairs.
  • User Management:
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Provide technical support and training to users.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery:
  • Implement and maintain backup solutions, including RDBMS replication, recovery and system failover.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
  • Network Management:
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ensure network security and manage VPNs.
  • Security Management:
  • Monitor and enforce security policies.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Documentation:
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work with other CBN and customer IT staff and departments to support various projects and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their IT needs.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with CBN and customer IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
