SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America. The position involves implementing, maintaining, and supporting SOLV’s Operations and Control Center server infrastructure within our on-prem environment. The role requires collaboration with IT/OT groups to schedule updates, align on documentation best practices, and build a knowledge base to support continuous improvement and growth.

  • Implement and maintain Operation and Control Center system infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues and processes.
  • Perform configuration management, reporting solution/logging, services, software, and firmware for all assets.
  • Participate in planning, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of business technologies services, systems, and processes.
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
  • Determine opportunities and threats to current practices through analysis of current trends and assess strengths and weaknesses.
  • Support Operations and Control Center after-hours issues that impact the ability to perform duties.
  • Adhere to a culture of NERC Compliance and Governance with respect to patch management, change control policies and procedures, documentation, and training.
  • Support Disaster Recovery, Backup, and retention policies.
  • Mentor/cross-train team members on existing and new technologies.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Jr. System Administrator or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry cyber security frameworks and compliance including NERC CIP and NIST is a bonus but not required.
  • Microsoft and Linux Administration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure Technologies: Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, IIS, PKI.
  • Knowledge of managing Virtual Server Environments including VMWare.
  • Knowledge of managing system backups using applications such as CommVault or others.
  • Knowledge of various Cyber Security technologies and processes including but not limited to, TrendMicro, Splunk, and Incident Response.
  • Knowledge of server maintenance and patching, using various tools including BigFix or equivalent products.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting & Automation is preferred.
