This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector. Role Overview The System Administrator will work individually or within a small team to develop secure and reliable enterprise computer systems. Responsibilities include systems administration of cyber toolsets and server systems across multiple classification domains, ensuring operational efficiency, and implementing innovative solutions to meet mission needs. The candidate will support both Windows and Linux systems engineering efforts, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.

  • Perform systems administration of cyber toolsets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains.
  • Support developmental and operational systems, ensuring day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.
  • Install, configure, and manage operating systems and application software as necessary.
  • Operate and maintain Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, including patching and updates.
  • Automate deployments and configuration management tasks.
  • Support system design, evaluation, solution engineering, and software development efforts.
  • Analyze root causes and resolve complex issues utilizing industry knowledge.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop innovative solutions that ensure secure and reliable enterprise computer systems.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • 3+ years of experience as a system administrator.
  • Experience operating and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, including operating systems and applications, patching, and updates.
  • Experience with installing and configuring devices, applications, and security tools such as Splunk and HBSS.
  • Experience automating deployments and configuration management tasks.
  • Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework.
  • DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND).
  • DoD 8570.01-M Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) - Infrastructure Support certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND).
  • Education: High school diploma or GED with 7 years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a network administrator or systems engineer.
  • Experience scripting with PowerShell and/or BASH command-line interfaces.
  • Experience managing Windows policies via Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of different layers of the technology stack, including network, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions.
  • Familiarity with Git, Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence), and graphic tools like Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience creating system/network diagrams.
  • Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) - Infrastructure Support certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND).
