About The Position

Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing information networks such as local area networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Voice over IP (VoIP), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance with the organization’s business requirements. Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks. Coordinate changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades or version increments to existing networks with network administrators and stakeholders. Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard new and existing networks. Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning. Coordinates with architecture, evaluates new and emerging network technologies, and make recommendations for selection of these products. Assists network administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting efforts. May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed networks in lab or production environments. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Level III performs more independent thinking and difficult tasks compared to Level II and may supervise others.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
  • Federal Background Investigation Required: Tier 3 (T3)
  • IT Security Designation: ADP/IT II
  • Relevant Experience: Eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
  • Minimum Education: Master's degree and/or equivalent.
  • IA Technical/Management Designation: IAT III and CE
  • Certifications Required (at least one from each):
  • IAT-III
  • CASP CE
  • CCNP - Security
  • CISSP (or Associate)
  • CISA
  • GCED
  • GCIH
  • Computing Environment (CE)
  • Linux+
  • MCITP: 2008 Server Administrator
  • MCITP: 2008 Enterprise & Server Administrator
  • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
