About The Position

Markon is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to support a high-priority, highly visible malware analysis modernization program. This role supports a large-scale software development effort responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining mission-critical enterprise systems. The program delivers both sustainment of existing mission systems and modernization of cyber analysis, orchestration, and data enrichment capabilities using Agile, DevOps, and test-driven development practices.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
Bachelor’s degree plus 15 years of relevant experience.
Strong expertise administering Linux systems in enterprise environments.
Required experience with Ansible automation.
Proficiency architecting and supporting Cisco-based network solutions.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and network issues.
Experience supporting mission-critical, highly visible programs.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Pure Storage solutions.
Experience with VMware virtualization.
Experience with MongoDB.
Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration.

Responsibilities

Administer, operate, and maintain Linux-based enterprise systems supporting mission-critical malware analysis capabilities.
Support infrastructure automation and configuration management using Ansible.
Architect, deploy, and maintain network solutions using Cisco technologies.
Diagnose and resolve complex connectivity issues, outages, and network performance bottlenecks.
Perform Cisco upgrades, patching, and optimization to ensure network stability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues across compute, network, and storage environments.
Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps teams to support modernized cyber analysis platforms.
Support parallel sustainment and modernization efforts in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
