About The Position

The System Administrator Level 3 position at GDIT involves providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems. The role includes managing IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems, supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for various devices including client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. The position also entails providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution, as well as support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. The administrator will configure and manage UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or four years of additional SA experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Fifteen years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Six years of experience with Service Management (ITSM).
  • Four years of experience with ServiceNow platform.
  • Two years of experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications.
  • ITIL 4 platform certification.
  • ServiceNow System Administrator certification.
  • One of the following DoD approved certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
