As a System Administrator, you will ensure that servers and workstations are maintained at optimal levels of availability, reliability, and performance. Provides technical consulting and guidance. Contributes to the development of computing standards, policies, and procedures. Independently evaluates and recommends hardware and software solutions. This role serves as a strong steppingstone for individuals pursuing a career in IT project management, offering valuable growth experience and clear promotional opportunities. A caregiver in this position works Monday—Friday| 8:00am—4:30pm| on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in information systems
  • Network administration, workstation/server troubleshooting experience, personal computer and UNIX architectures and interface components experience
  • Experience must also include installing and configuring file systems, network operating systems, shell scripting and automating management processes
  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date

Responsibilities

  • Maintain servers and workstations at the highest level of availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Configure, install, and maintain departmental files and applications for servers and workstations.
  • Maintain system integrity through security and backups.
  • Maintain Disaster Recovery procedures.
  • Administer departmental network.
  • Adds and deletes users.
  • Reset password/ support applications.
  • Administer departmental application licenses.
  • Other duties as assigned.
