About The Position

The Systems Admin I performs all system administration functions including asset management, performance tuning of systems, using various system toolset, and collaborating with vendors in the configuration of applications and hardware This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of systems. Essential Job Statements Performs: software product installations, setup and configuring of new enterprise systems, preventative maintenance on IT systems. Responds to: system outages, malfunctions, and technical problems Enhances capabilities of assigned systems through. Routine upkeep, maintenance, and patching. Performs device definitions, setup and management of user accounts. Assist users with technical issues and provide guidance on system usage. Develop and documents system processes, procedures, hardware and software inventory. Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities. Collaborates with the vendor to support end users and resolve trouble tickets. Coordinate with application support teams Act as the primary onsite contact for clinical areas assigned for initial troubleshooting and coordinating additional support from applications support teams. Proactively round in designated spaces multiple times a day, checking in with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to ensure needs are met. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and understand processes to enhance system performance and user experience. Build relationships and collaborate with clinical informaticists, trainers, and other teams, necessary to provide comprehensive IT support for designated clinical areas. Patient Population: N/A

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or a combination of experience and education
  • 1+ year of IT experience
  • Ability to provide excellent support and service to users.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Meticulous approach to system maintenance and documentation.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Visio, and Project), clinical systems and/or business systems and service desk software.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, CIIP or PARCA Certifications for some areas of work
  • Combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
