Mid Penn Bank is actively seeking an IT System Administrator in Harrisburg, PA. This is NOT a remote/work from home position. Position is 100% onsite in Harrisburg, PA.   • Develop and maintain the company's IT infrastructure.
  • Manage critical applications and servers, providing/restricting access as needed.
  • Identify and implement current and new technology solutions.
  • Perform regular systems and security monitoring.
  • Handle backup procedures, patches, upgrades, and implementation of new servers/systems.
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department and with other departments.
  • Develop and maintain a project/job request management system.
  • Make recommendations for workflow improvements.
  • Keep projects and service tickets current.
  • Participate in establishing specific goals for the department.
  • Develop, maintain, and support the management of the company's IT and Information Security program.
  • Identify, evaluate, and deploy hardware or software technologies.
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, PCs, laptops, and software.
  • Work with third-party IT consultants and vendors.
  • Monitor, plan, and coordinate the distribution of client/server software.
  • Participate in project management activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of various technologies utilized by the company.
  • Assist IT management team with various administrative duties.
  • Screen, evaluate, and identify system design and security-related risks.
  • Review periodic system upgrades with various departments.
  • Install and/or coordinate periodic computer software upgrades.
  • Monitor and report systems resource consumption trends.
  • Develop and document system and network designs.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions of servers and software applications.
  • Log and track implementations, changes, fixes, and issues.
  • Create and/or improve workflows and document results of IT projects.
  • Produce reports/audits on changes of health and thresholds on servers.
  • Maintain an inventory of all hardware, PC software, and licensing records.
  • Communicate with direct supervisor and other managers.
  • Perform supportive tasks as needed.
  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science or related field of study preferred, or equivalent related work experience and/or training.
  • A minimum of five (5) years related experience in related positions.
  • Experience with vxRail, VMware, Citrix, Veeam, DataDomain, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365 preferred.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
  • Proficient technical skills and advanced knowledge of virtualized infrastructure.
  • Advanced knowledge of Virtual Desktop and enterprise Disaster Recovery & backup solutions.
  • Proficient with network protocols and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficient information security skills.
  • Demonstrated management of systems skills.
  • Ability to lift items weighing 75 lbs. or less.
