The System Administrator-Desktop Support role is focused on providing comprehensive on-site support for IT services in Lexington, KY. The position requires a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and technical support through various channels including walk-in, email, self-service, desk phone, and MS Teams. The candidate must be available for after-hours and weekend support as needed. The role involves managing incidents, engaging with the Incident Management team, and supporting priority incidents effectively.

  • Serve as the single point of contact for IT support at the site.
  • Install operating systems and customer-approved software on end-user PCs.
  • Provide continuous user education on IT topics, including security best practices.
  • Manage PC refreshes and coordinate with recycling vendors for old assets.
  • Engage with IT hardware and network service providers.
  • Log incidents and requests in the ticketing tool, documenting records and updates.
  • Set up and move user desks, and conduct IT onboarding for new employees.
  • Engage Helpdesk for employee password resets.
  • Handle desktop issues and requests for on-site and remote users.
  • 1 - 6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, SCCM, MS Intune, LAPS, KillDisk, VMWare, Server Patch Management, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange.
  • Experience with Cisco VPN, Active Directory Services, and Apple Mac OS.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow, LogMein Rescue, Remote Desktop Connection, Virtual Desktop, Monitoring, BitLocker Administration, NetQOS, and Network Flow Analysis.
  • Hands-on skills in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs and mobile devices.
  • Ability to manage, procure, and maintain IT assets.
  • Familiarity with ITIL4 processes such as Incident Management.
