The Tier 2 Systems Administrator provides enterprise-level operations and sustainment support for the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Domain and Directory Services Branch (DDSB). This role delivers advanced troubleshooting, monitoring, and sustainment of both on-premises MECM and MED365 cloud/tenant environments, ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of enterprise systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to enterprise infrastructure, services, firmware, and applications across MECM, MED365, and related platforms.
  • Support DHA’s eDiscovery operations, including data collection, preservation, processing, and purging activities for litigation, audits, and investigations.
  • Provide and maintain SITREPs, After Action Reports (AARs), and Unscheduled Downtime Reports (UDRs) for critical service outages and unplanned interruptions.
  • Monitor system health, availability, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, MECM dashboards), escalating issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Tier 3 Administrators and Engineering teams to implement corrective actions, ensure patch compliance, and maintain enterprise operational readiness.
  • Participate in enterprise knowledge transfer and continual service improvement initiatives, contributing technical insights and procedural documentation.
  • Develop troubleshooting and resolution reports of UDRs, SITREPs, and AARs for outages; Discovery audit support documentation; Monitoring and system status reports.
  • BS degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, or DoD Military Training or CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
