The Systems Analyst (Part-Time) role at Compass Point involves supporting the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) by providing day-to-day IT service management and technical support for specialized software tools and networks. The position focuses on enhancing and maintaining SOFPREP's infrastructure, ensuring effective operation and cybersecurity compliance, and contributing to the development of geospatial intelligence data for Special Operations Forces training and planning.

  • Support the hardware/software analysis, test & evaluation, and user assessment of emerging tools and applications used within the SOFPREP network.
  • Support the overall sustainment operation of J37-SP Systems including associated hardware, software, peripheral equipment, as well as service management processes.
  • Perform and conduct research of creative resolutions of technical issues and maintain a knowledge base for incident resolution.
  • Utilize ITIL practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) to deliver shared IT services that align with customer needs.
  • Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of IT Standard Process and Procedures adhering to USSOCOM policies.
  • Define requirements for conducting and measuring end-user satisfaction surveys and support asset management activities.
  • Support and maintain ITSM Continuous Improvement program and participate in monthly meetings with IT Service Providers.
  • Provide support for COOP activities and training for new technology deployment.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience or military service.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain & maintain one.
  • Possess one of the following: A+, Security+, Cloud+, ITIL certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) Process in a DoD or similar environment.
  • Understanding of ITIL, agile methodologies, and DoD Risk Management/Security policies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with geospatial intelligence data and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and risk management processes.
