Position Summary: The System Director, Strategic Sourcing and Contracting is responsible for the enterprise leadership, administrative oversight, and systemwide coordination of all strategic sourcing, contracting, and value analysis functions across UCI Health. The incumbent is accountable for the development and execution of systemwide sourcing strategies that advance financial stewardship, clinical value, supply continuity, and operational performance. This role oversees the full sourcing lifecycle, including market analysis, supplier strategy, competitive sourcing events, contract negotiation, value analysis governance, and contract lifecycle management. The System Director provides oversight to Strategic Sourcing Analysts, Contract Administrators, and functional managers responsible for contracting and clinical value analysis, and is responsible for the selection, orientation, training, performance management, and professional development of all assigned coworkers. This position collaborates closely with physician leaders, clinical operations, finance, and executive leadership to ensure sourcing decisions support high-quality patient care while achieving measurable financial and operational outcomes, and advises executive leadership on how strategic sourcing and contracting may impact organizational strategy. The System Director exercises wide latitude of authority in determining departmental goals and measures to achieve systemwide strategic sourcing and contracting objectives.
