Job Title: Synthetic Preform / Press Associate Shift/Hours: 3rd shift - 10:30 PM - 6:45 AM Department/Group: Compression Molding Position Type: KV Union Location: Kulpsville, PA Job Family/Grade 8 Reports to: Supervisor Position Purpose Summary – Perform all operations in work area to meet or exceed expected quality and production standards. Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company. • Perform operations in the clean room work area to meet or exceed expected quality and production standards. • Record all Information on GT data collection system as required. • Mold Handle: Store, retrieve, assemble and clean molds for production; before, during and after the run. • Transport molds and tooling. • Operate mill and extruders to manufacture preform. • Prepare preforms for molding including but not limited to: bagging, cut to length, washing and weighing, and organizing. • Operate presses, deflash and inspect parts as necessary to ensure highest quality. • Follow all SPC, SOP’s and Work Instructions. • Move molded parts to next operation as required. • Ability to meet or exceed all quality and production standards. • Cleanliness - maintain facility housekeeping, clean machines and work areas. • Communicate and work with adjoining shifts and departments to meet objectives as well as communicate problems and solutions to supervisor and charge hand. • Perform job in compliance with Company’s Quality Policy (ISO 9000). • Perform miscellaneous duties in the department as assigned OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES • Pull flash, cut vents & count parts. • Rinse & bag parts as required. • Remove expired material in a timely manner. • Transport work in process & finished goods within & between departments as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have the ability to use measuring equipment such as rulers, micrometers, magnification, gauges, etc in the prescribed manner
  • Ability to read, understand and follow the work instructions in all operations.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as: Eye Protection, Protective Gloves, Hearing Protection
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.without the use of mechanical lifting devices.
  • Ability to work in positions requiring frequent pushing, grasping and repetitive movement.
  • Ability to occasionally work in positions requiring occasional pulling, twisting and reaching
  • This position requires U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, lawful permanent residents, and workers granted refugee or asylum status in the United States.
