About The Position

The Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership (SEZP) is seeking a full-time Grades 6-8 Math Teacher to start in August 2025. This position is designed for educators who are committed to enacting anti-racist instructional practices and ensuring that students take ownership of their learning. The teacher will provide grade-level rigor using a highly-rated, research-based curriculum and will work closely with a co-taught team of two to three additional educators in the classroom. Engaging with families as partners in the learning process is also a key responsibility, along with other duties as determined by the school Principal.

Requirements

• Experience teaching in middle school or high school preferred
• Appropriate content/program area and grade level educator license (Math) from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required
• Experience as an active anti-racist, LGBTQ+ advocate, or organizer for equity preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Bachelor's degree required

Responsibilities

• Providing embedded interventions for students needing additional support, time, or scaffolds
• Working closely with a co-taught team of two to three additional educators in the classroom
• Engaging with families as partners in the learning around successes, challenges, and problem-solving on behalf of our scholars
• Other duties as determined by the school Principal

• Up to $90,424 base salary
