About The Position

The Switchgear Sales Manager is responsible for managing and driving sales of electrical switchgear products, which are essential for controlling, protecting, and isolating electrical systems. This role involves developing sales strategies, maintaining customer relationships, providing technical support, and leading a sales team to achieve revenue targets in the electrical sector.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, switchgear technology, and the energy industry.
  • Experience in sales, especially in B2B environments, with a focus on industrial or electrical products.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building customer relationships and negotiating deals.
  • Ability to handle large, complex sales projects that may require coordination across multiple teams.
  • Strong managerial and leadership skills to lead a sales team to success.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Eaton's Bidmanager, Solar Eclipse and Job Management program is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for switchgear products.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key customers such as electrical contractors, institutional & industrial clients, power utilities, and OEMs.
  • Providing technical support to customers and offering solutions based on their needs.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify new business opportunities.
  • Managing a team of sales representatives, providing coaching and training, and ensuring sales goals are met.
  • Assisting in preparing and presenting competitive bids and proposals for large projects, including technical specifications and pricing.
  • Tracking sales performance, preparing reports for senior management, and forecasting future sales activities.
  • Working closely with the consultant engineering segment and manufacturing partners to ensure product solutions and timely delivery.
