About The Position

Milkco is seeking a 2nd Shift Switcher Driver to work in our shipping yard (CDL is not required). Our switcher drivers work right here in Asheville, so you are home every day, after every shift. The work schedule runs on a two-week cycle: Week 1 - Monday: 12:00pm - 8:30pm; Tuesday: 7:00am - 3:30pm; Wednesday thru Friday: 12:00pm - 8:30pm; Saturday thru Sunday: Off Week 2 - Monday: 12:00pm -8:30pm; Tuesday: Off; Wednesday thru Friday: 12:00pm - 8:30pm; Saturday: 7:00am - 3:30pm; Sunday: Off Milkco will train the right candidate! Milkco, Inc. is a Fluid Milk Plant. We process, bottle, and ship fluid milk, juice, tea, and eggnog. Established in 1982 with 50 employees, the plant has grown to 250+. Compensation Information: Automatic 60-Day Pay Review Automatic Annual Pay Review Shift Differentials Milkco will pay for MEC renewal at anytime and a CDL renewal after 1 yr. (A CDL License is not required.) Employment Requirements: Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening (provided by Milkco). Will conduct a Criminal Background Check. Must pass an E-Verify Screening.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer that applicants have at least 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Prefer that applicants have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be self-motivated to do whatever needs to be done each day.
• Be punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Moving trailers around the shipping yard.
• Recording trailer temperatures and yard inventory.
• Washing trailers.
• General shipping yard management.
