About The Position

Join us in the operation of the switchboard, Vocera, text messaging and radio paging systems to facilitate the exchange of information between the Medical Centers, the public, physicians and departments within the hospital. This position requires great communication skills and a love for talking with people.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to work individually and as a group.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls from the outside to notify doctors, transfer to patient room or transfer to another UPC.
• Utilize Vocera for communication of codes.
• Use computer with Windows Word, Excel, and Outlook for communication and everyday activities.
• Assist other team members with their duties as time permits or need arises.
• Perform other duties as assigned (duties may be added, deleted or changed at any time).
