Operators will assist callers with any problem they may incur while attempting to place a call. Will log all long-distance calls that are charged to the hospital and placed by hospital employees or medical staff using the operator's assistance. Will also beep and page necessary staff when needed. Will log all alarms in proper binder. All operators must maintain Switchboard operating in an orderly manner and take care of all equipment. Operators will be kind, courteous and professional to all callers no matter what the situation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Minimum 6 months phone experience
  • Must work well under extreme pressure and have excellent communication skills
