About The Position

Answers all incoming telephone calls, schedules patient appointments, validates eligibility, routes calls to the appropriate employee or provider and takes messages as required. Performs various office duties in the medical office setting for proficient operations and patient satisfaction. Works closely with Office Team to trouble-shoot and resolve problems and maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and fellow employees. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Good English speaking, spelling, reading and mathematical skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow directions
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge in Word, Excel
  • Ability to maneuver through multiple screens in a timely manner
  • 1+ year of operator, medical office front/back work experience preferred
  • Medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred
  • Insurance knowledge preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast and high pressured environment
  • Stringent adherence to all HIPAA laws
  • Strong typing skills (40 and up wpm required)
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills
