About The Position

As a Switchboard Operator at Raleigh General Hospital, you will play a vital role in the operation of the Region 1 Medical Command Center. Your responsibilities will include establishing linkages and relaying appropriate information to the patient care team, preparing statistical reports, and performing clerical functions such as filing, mail preparation, data entry, scanning, and faxing. You will also activate the appropriate response team for patient care alerts (STEMI, Trauma, Stroke, etc.) and receive and relay patient information from inbound ground and air transport units to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current certification as a West Virginia EMT Paramedic.
• At least 2 years' recent and active field experience as a paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Assist in optimum operation of the Region 1 Medical Command Center.
• Establish linkages and relay all appropriate information to the patient care team.
• Prepare statistical reports and perform clerical functions including filing, mail preparation, data entry, scanning, and faxing.
• Activate the appropriate response team for patient care alerts (STEMI, Trauma, Stroke, etc.).
• Receive and relay patient information from inbound ground and air transport units to the appropriate personnel.
