About The Position
The Switchboard Operator is primarily responsible for answering and routing all calls. The operator remains updated on all Code procedures (Code 1, Disaster, fire, bomb, electrical, etc.) and responds to all alarms. This role also includes responsibility for overhead paging and requires the incumbent to constantly remember multiple tasks while operating multiple screens. The operator functions as an information desk and is expected to monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health.
