Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a customer service role required.
• Experience utilizing multi-line switchboard in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates the telephone switchboard and routes calls to appropriate personnel.
• Announces necessary codes with accuracy and implements emergency response and Rapid Response teams utilizing electronic methods.
• Promptly reports all alarm variances to the security of facilities department as appropriate.
• Exercises sound judgement in the process and issuance of code requests to include assessing severity, type, authenticity, etc.
• Announces all codes in a timely, clear, and calm manner.
• Obtains all necessary information from callers.
