About The Position

Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician (Switch) to join our team. This position is based at our Bethel, Connecticut facility. Pay rate is $18-$22 per hour. Position Overview: The Electro-Mechanical Technician (Switch) is responsible for loading test stands and setting up testing for very small and intricate parts. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge in reading, interpreting, and following technical work instructions and blueprints. This first shift position is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, is focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent related experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International
• Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Ability to interpret/follow written work instructions, visual aids, sketches and blueprints.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Mid-level assembly, calibration & ATP

Responsibilities

• Set up, start and then break down test ovens which contain small electro-mechanical parts
• Interpret customer and supplier requirements (via blueprints and work instructions)
• Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability
• Perform visual inspection of parts
• Maintain quality records
