About The Position

As a Principal Machinist, you will have the opportunity to utilize mills, lathes, mill-turns, and Swiss machines (among others) to produce close-tolerance parts for our medical products. A major area of responsibility for this role will be the set-up and operation of a variety of production machinery to produce close-tolerance precision medical device parts, with an emphasis on verifying and validating new set-ups for production and first piece runs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience operating advanced CNC production equipment.
• Successful completion of the Principal Machinist Assessment.
• Currently employed as a CONMED CNC Sr Machinist.

• Ability to produce parts at maximum rates with zero defects.
• Ability to optimize processes through continuous improvement efforts.
• Must be able to read, understand, and interpret G and M codes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operation of CNC Swiss Lathes (5+ axis).
• Utilize G-Code and M-Code programming for machine operations.
• Perform machine setups for production runs, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality.
• Work with CNC Swiss lathes and other advanced machining equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure continuous operation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Inspect finished products for quality and precision, making adjustments as necessary.
