We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Swiss CNC Programmer & Machinist to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for leading the technical execution of our precision swiss machining department. This individual will be responsible for the end-to-end manufacturing process of high-complexity, tight-tolerance components—from initial CAD/CAM programming to final process validation. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in Swiss-style kinematics and a proven track record of delivering aerospace or medical-grade components.

Requirements

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in CNC Swiss machining, with at least 5 years dedicated to independent programming and setup.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of G-code/M-code and fluency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
  • Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in CAM programming and CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience operating within highly regulated environments, such as AS9100 (Aerospace) or ISO 13485 (Medical).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in Precision Machining or a Journeyman Certification is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain focus in a high-precision production environment.
  • Required to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Expertise in managing bar feeders and maintaining a clean, organized work area (5S).

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Programming: Develop, simulate, and implement complex multi-axis G-code programs for Swiss-style lathes (e.g., Citizen, Tsugami, Tornos) using CAM software (Mastercam, Deco).
  • Set-Up & Execution: Perform comprehensive machine setups, including the synchronization of main and sub-spindles, live tooling configuration, and high-pressure coolant integration.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement cycle time reductions and tool-life improvements through the analysis of speeds, feeds, and tool-path efficiency.
  • Quality & Precision: Maintain tolerances as tight as ±.0005”. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process monitoring using CMMs, vision systems, and manual metrology tools.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and programming issues, including vibration dampening, thermal compensation, and material-specific challenges (e.g., Titanium, Inconel, 17-4 PH).
  • Departmental Mentorship: Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance to junior machinists and operators to ensure adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
