The position involves operating 2 Spindle CNC machines, where the operator examines blueprints or work orders to determine the finished specifications of parts. The operator is responsible for loading material into the machine for machining, starting the machine, observing its operation, and verifying the conformance of parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as gages, calipers, and micrometers. The role includes running parts after the machine is set up, measuring parts for accuracy, conducting visual inspections, changing tools, adjusting offsets as needed, identifying non-conforming parts, and moving them to scrap bins. Additionally, the operator will load bars into machines, enter information into Statistical Process Control (SPC) as required, complete in-process log sheets, log in and out of Vantage, and maintain a clean work area. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
