Qualifications Swiss CNC Machinist assists with production and technical issues, performs setups for a given part and produces high precision components according to the customer's print, specifications, and guidelines. May also use one or more various types of Swiss CNC lathes at the same time. Setup and operate vertical and horizontal CNC machines. Perform CNC turning. Operator will produce components according to the rate determined by Camcraft.

Responsibilities

  • Start the machine and perform inspection checks
  • Ensure that proper gauging is being used for the job intended to run
  • Read and understand blueprint
  • Produce precision components according to the blueprint
  • Produce precision components at rate
  • Perform all necessary part inspection using gauging instruments specified in the inspection sheet
  • Perform necessary statistical process control
  • Clean the workstation, check machine fluid levels and re fill as needed
  • Perform set up for a new or an existing component to be machined
  • Obtain necessary tooling
  • Understand company software and other related Camcraft operating systems
  • Troubleshoot as needed
  • Understands job priority base on a department schedule
  • Report department's performance and issues to the Swiss CNC department supervisor
  • Follows established safety practices and requirements pertaining to the type of work involved.
