About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Swing Production Team Lead to come and join our growing company, in Temecula, CA at Milgard Windows and Doors. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGT Innovations, is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. In this role you will lead our Insulating Line team. You must have prior manufacturing experience leading a team, in a demanding environment. In this role, you will assist in the work activities of department team members. The hourly compensation range is $28.50 an hour, plus $3 shift differential. The position start time is 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime required.

Requirements

• Prior lead/supervisory experience mentoring and motivating a team of individuals.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Kaizen experience preferred.
• ORACLE experience is a plus.
• Compute basic math equations.
• High-level of Mechanical Aptitude.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Pivot table experience highly preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental activities per standard operating procedures.
• Work with the department Supervisor in the assignment and supervision of personnel to always achieve an efficient operation.
• Assist the department Supervisor to see that all manufacturing orders are followed through properly to completion and are filled out properly prior to turning in.
• Assist personnel in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments to perform work according to standard operating procedures.
• Provide orderly and efficient changeover to the next shift.
• Demonstrate Milgard's Core Values in all business interactions.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.
