About The Position

Come join the 2nd largest Medical Waste Service Provider in the country for an exciting position! We provide excellent customer service to local hospitals and healthcare professionals and represent one of the most prominent companies in the Medical Waste Industry. As a Swing Driver, you will deliver excellent service to internal and external customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. You will operate straight trucks, roll offs, and tractor-trailers in compliance with DOT, state, and company safety regulations. You will service assigned accounts efficiently, ensuring customers’ waste pickup and supply delivery needs are met, while assisting at the warehouse as needed. This role includes paid training, company-provided uniforms, leading health benefits, tuition reimbursement, vacation/PTO after 90 days, Sign-On/Stay-On bonuses, and unlimited referral bonus potential.

Requirements

  • Must be 25 years or older with driving experience.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Completion of an accredited driving school or one or more years of commercial driving experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency using technology such as GPS and handheld devices.
  • Flexibility to assist in warehouse tasks and cover routes as needed.
  • Must work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self and others.
  • May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Start early daily and complete assigned Class A commercial driving routes.
  • Move yard trailers and provide roll-off support at least 2 days per week.
  • Cover route-based pickups as needed.
  • Ensure waste, supplies, and material handling equipment are secured prior to operating the vehicle on public highways.
  • Complete all paperwork legibly, accurately, and submit to Transportation Supervisor or Dispatcher.
  • Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) Driver Logs if applicable.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles; report maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher.
  • Follow all safety procedures to protect yourself and others while driving, loading, and unloading vehicles.
  • Push/pull up to 150 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Utilize Global Positioning System (GPS) and handheld devices for navigation, Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs, and Electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
  • Maintain current Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC).
  • Other duties as assigned.
