About The Position
Are you passionate about animal care, farm safety, and making a real impact on swine health? PIPESTONE is seeking a Swine Health Technician to support our farms across Iowa and Missouri. This is a field-based role with purpose: protecting herd health, improving farm safety, and ensuring the highest level of animal welfare.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Ag experience is a plus — but not required! We train the right people.
Responsibilities
- Help protect farms from disease through daily biosecurity checks
- Conduct safety audits of barn personnel
- Complete animal welfare audits at farm sites
- Inspect all structural areas for proper biosecurity
- Verify interior and exterior farm areas meet biosecurity standards (including attic audits, chute management, grounds checks)
- Check facilities for structural issues like back drafts
- Train barn staff on biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare best practices
- Perform truck wash and trailer audits
