Employee will work up to 3 hours each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during June and July at Splash Central Waterpark. Employee will be able supervise swimming lesson instructors. Employee will be able supervise swimming lesson participants. Qualifications Work is frequently performed in undesirable physical conditions of pollution, heat, cold, dampness, and a moderate to high noise level; duties involve scheduling all classes and instructors and complete all paperwork for the Recreation Specialist in the Parks & Recreation Office. Must be able to supervise participants in swimming lessons and supervise swimming lessons instructors. Must have up to date First Aid/CPR Training. Must be able to communicate and relate to and work with participants and families. Work hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. Special Requirements Graduation from High School or GED Certificate preferred. High School Students may be acceptable in some circumstances. Experience with Park & Recreation seasonal activities, preferred. Ability to work with necessary equipment to complete the tasks successfully. Miscellaneous Information Follows all applicable safety procedures, uses proper safety equipment. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present Parks & Recreation information to the public.
