About The Position

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School is seeking an Assistant Swim Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is part of the Athletics & Activities department and is essential for supporting the swim program at the school. The role involves coaching student-athletes, developing their skills, and ensuring a safe and productive training environment.

Requirements

• NJ Instructional Certification.
• Experience as a Swim Coach and/or player is preferred.
• Completion of Principles of Coaching Course.
• Current CPR/AED, Water Safety & Lifeguarding Certificate preferred but must be willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting swim practices.
• Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes in swimming techniques.
• Monitor the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and competitions.
• Help organize swim meets and events.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.
