About The Position

Dominion Country Club is looking for a dedicated and energetic Swim Team Instructor to join our team this summer. This part-time position involves coaching our junior swim team, promoting skill development, and fostering a positive team environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in swim coaching or teaching swim lessons.
• Strong knowledge of competitive swimming techniques and rules.
• Lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with children and adolescents.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim practices for team members aged 6-16, focusing on stroke technique, endurance, and competitive skills.
• Develop and implement training plans tailored to various skill levels, from novice to competitive swimmers.
• Foster a spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among team members.
• Organize and oversee swimming meets, ensuring all participants are prepared and supported.
• Ensure swimmer safety during practices and events by adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide individual feedback and encouragement to swimmers, helping them to improve their techniques and performance.
• Maintain open lines of communication with swimmers, parents, and club management regarding progress, expectations, and events.
• Organize team meetings and communicate schedules effectively.
