About The Position

The Hampshire Regional YMCA is looking for a Swim Team Head Coach! The ideal candidate is a responsible and engaged leader that has a desire to creating lasting impact on youth and adults in our community. Our Dolphins swim team is a beloved program at our YMCA that has been thoughtfully built up to its current status. Having passion for developing youth is a must! This position can be either part-time or full-time. The full-time version of the job would involve splitting your time between swim team coaching and assisting with Aquatics Department oversight, which includes lifeguard supervision, swim lesson assistance, and covering some lifeguard hours, as well as participating in our Y's leadership team obligations. The part-time version of the position would be focused only on the swim team responsibilities.

Requirements

• Two or more years of swim team coaching experience
• Experience working with youth required
• Current lifeguard certificate, or acquired upon hire
• US Swimming certified, or acquired upon hire
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible schedule including some nights & weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Dolphins swim team.
• Assist with Aquatics Department oversight including lifeguard supervision and swim lesson assistance.
• Cover some lifeguard hours as needed.
• Participate in the YMCA's leadership team obligations.
