What is needed for this job as our Swim Team Coach: 18+ years of age High School Degree or equivalent 2 years of directly related experience in developing and conducting programs Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including nights and weekends Ability to travel between multiple branches in the city of Philadelphia Understanding of computer software used for running meets and swimmer lineups The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Swim Team Coach: Evaluate swimmers’ skills and lead them through skill mastery and swim practices Recruit, train, and supervise the competitive swim staff and conduct monthly  meetings Provide support and encouragement to participants and ensure fair practice and swim meet experience Ensure you are the first one to arrive and the last one to leave at practices and meets The coach is responsible for setting up home meets and working with the parents’ committee in securing volunteers to run the swim meets What you can expect: Support from an amazing team Opportunities to learn & grow at the YMCA Being a part of a non-profit organization that works to make the community stronger YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer All Qualified Women, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and US Veterans Encouraged to Apply After reading this, if you’re thinking this is me- we want to meet you! Requirements

  • 18+ years of age
  • High School Degree or equivalent
